MAÏON STUDIO

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

Effective May 28, 2026 — Applicable to all orders placed on maion-studio.com

Preamble

MAÏON STUDIO is a high-end leather goods house founded in Paris, dedicated to creating pieces crafted from leathers selected from LWG (Leather Working Group) certified European tanneries. Each creation is designed to last, evolve, and accompany those who wear it.

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “GTC”) govern all sales concluded between MAÏON STUDIO and any adult individual making a purchase on the website maion-studio.com (hereinafter “the Site”), hereinafter referred to as “the Client.”

Any order placed on the Site implies full and unreserved acceptance of these GTC, in their version in force on the day of the order. MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to modify them at any time; the applicable GTC are those accessible on the Site at the time of order validation.

These GTC are written in French and governed by French law. They apply to the exclusion of any other condition.

Article 2 — Products

2.1 Description

The products offered for sale on the Site are high-end leather goods (bags, accessories, charms, and complementary pieces) crafted from leathers selected from LWG-certified European tanneries.

Each product has a descriptive sheet detailing its essential characteristics: materials, dimensions, colors, and any relevant specificities. The Client is invited to carefully consult this information before validating their order.

2.2 Leather, a living material

At MAÏON STUDIO, leather is not just a material—it is the signature of each piece. As a natural material, leather exhibits inherent variations in grain, texture, or shade. These unique characteristics do not constitute defects: they are proof of an authentic material, designed to evolve and acquire a patina over time.

These natural characteristics are not covered by the legal guarantee of conformity. They are inherent to the nature of the product and do not entitle the Client to exchange or refund.

2.3 Suede leather: care and waterproofing

MAÏON STUDIO suede leather items are treated for water repellency during manufacturing. However, this protection naturally diminishes with use. To preserve the properties of suede leather over time, MAÏON STUDIO recommends regularly reapplying a waterproofing product suitable for suede leather, depending on the intensity of use.

The gradual loss of waterproofing properties due to normal wear and tear does not constitute a defect in conformity. MAÏON STUDIO recommends consulting the Site's Care page or contacting contact@maion-studio.com for any advice.

2.4 Photographs

The photographs and visuals presented on the Site are produced with the utmost care to faithfully represent the products. However, slight variations in color rendering may exist depending on the Client's screen display settings. These discrepancies do not constitute a defect and do not give rise to a refund.

2.5 Availability

Products are offered in available stock or for pre-order. Availability is indicated on each product page. MAÏON STUDIO undertakes to keep this information up to date but cannot guarantee the permanent availability of a product.

In case of a stockout for an available product, MAÏON STUDIO will inform the Client as soon as possible and offer an order cancellation with a full refund or, depending on availability, an equivalent alternative.

The Client can also subscribe to a back-in-stock alert directly on the relevant product page to be notified by email when it is restocked.

Article 3 — Pre-orders

Some MAÏON STUDIO creations are available for pre-order before their actual availability. By placing a pre-order, the Client accepts the following specific conditions:

• The estimated shipping date is indicated on the product page and in the order confirmation email. This period starts from the date of order validation.

• The shipping time for pre-orders is approximately 15 working days from the order date, plus the standard delivery time depending on the destination.

• Payment is collected in full upon order validation.

• In case of a delay exceeding seven (7) working days beyond the announced shipping date, the Client will be informed by email and may, if they wish, cancel their order and receive a full refund within fourteen (14) days.

• In case it is impossible to fulfill the pre-order (production cancellation, supply shortage, or any other case of force majeure), MAÏON STUDIO will inform the Client as soon as possible and proceed with a full refund of the amount paid within a maximum of fourteen (14) days. No additional compensation may be claimed on this account.

In accordance with Article L.216-1 of the Consumer Code, MAÏON STUDIO undertakes to deliver the goods within the time indicated at the time of the order. Failing this, the Client may terminate the contract and be fully reimbursed.

Article 4 — Order Process

4.1 Placing an order

Orders are placed entirely online on the Site. The Client selects the desired products, checks the summary of their cart, provides their delivery and payment information, and then definitively validates their order.

Any order validation implies acceptance of these GTC and constitutes an electronic signature within the meaning of French law.

4.2 Confirmation

A confirmation email is sent to the Client upon receipt of their order, summarizing the items ordered, the total amount, and the estimated shipping time. This email does not constitute definitive contractual acceptance: the sale is only formed on the actual shipping date of the package.

4.3 Refusal or cancellation of order

MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order exhibiting an unusual character, particularly in cases of an unusually large quantity ordered, suspicion of commercial resale, a clear pricing error on the Site, or a payment incident. The Client will be informed by email and fully reimbursed if applicable.

MAÏON STUDIO is a brand created for those who wear its pieces. The use of the Site for professional purposes or for commercial resale is strictly prohibited. MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to refuse any order placed by a professional or by a person manifestly acting for resale purposes, especially when the quantity of items ordered abnormally exceeds the needs of an end consumer. In case of repeated violation, MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to close the concerned customer account.

Article 5 — Price

Prices displayed on the Site are indicated in euros, all taxes included (TTC), and are valid subject to availability. MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to modify its prices at any time; the applicable prices are those displayed on the Site at the time of order validation.

Delivery costs, when applicable, are calculated and displayed during the checkout process, before any final validation.

For deliveries to European countries not members of the European Union (notably Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland), the displayed price does not include customs duties, import taxes, or other local charges that may be required by the authorities of the destination country. These costs remain entirely the responsibility of the Client.

Article 6 — Payment

6.1 Accepted payment methods

MAÏON STUDIO accepts the following payment methods:

• Bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and similar cards)

• PayPal

• Apple Pay

• Payment in 3 interest-free installments, via an approved fractional payment provider, offered at the time of payment

Payment is due in full upon order validation. No bank transfer payments are accepted.

6.2 Payment security

Payments are secured via the Shopify Payments platform and its partners, compliant with PCI DSS standards. MAÏON STUDIO does not collect or store any banking data.

6.3 Payment in 3 interest-free installments

Fractional payment in 3 interest-free installments is offered by an independent third-party provider (Klarna, Alma, Scalapay, or equivalent, depending on availability at the time of order), from a minimum order amount of one hundred (100) euros. This service is subject to the general terms and conditions of the concerned provider, which the Client is invited to consult before validating. Eligibility for fractional payment is determined by the provider and MAÏON STUDIO cannot be held responsible in case of refusal.

6.4 Payment refusal

In case of payment authorization refusal by the banking institution, the order cannot be validated. MAÏON STUDIO cannot be held responsible for the consequences of a payment refusal from the Client's institution.

Article 7 — Delivery

7.1 Delivery zones

MAÏON STUDIO delivers to all European countries, whether or not they are members of the European Union. Tariffs and delivery times vary depending on the destination, in accordance with the information provided during the order process.

7.2 Delivery in Metropolitan France

Delivery in Metropolitan France is free for all orders, with no minimum purchase. The Client has the choice between:

• Home delivery via DPD (Predict service): estimated delivery time of 1 to 4 working days from dispatch

• Delivery to a DPD relay point: estimated delivery time of 1 to 4 working days from dispatch

Orders placed and validated before 1:00 PM (Paris time) on a working day are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 1:00 PM or on a non-working day are dispatched on the next working day.

For light items weighing less than 100 grams (notably charms and small accessories), delivery is made by La Poste tracked letter, with an estimated delivery time of 3 to 6 working days.

In the case of a mixed order combining an item over 100g and a light item, the entire order is shipped as a DPD package.

7.3 International delivery

For deliveries outside Metropolitan France, shipping costs are automatically calculated during the order process based on weight and destination. The carrier is DPD.

Estimated delivery times according to zones:

• European Union member countries: 3 to 5 working days

• Europe: 3 to 7 working days depending on the destination zone

These deadlines are indicative and may vary depending on the vagaries inherent in international transport and customs controls.

7.4 Customs duties and import taxes

For deliveries to European countries not members of the European Union (notably Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland), customs duties, import taxes, and other local charges that may be required by the authorities of the destination country are entirely the responsibility of the Client. MAÏON STUDIO has no control over these costs and cannot predict their amount. It is up to the Client to inquire with the competent authorities in their country before placing an order.

7.5 Transfer of risks and receipt

Risks relating to the products are transferred to the Client upon delivery of the package to the carrier. MAÏON STUDIO is not responsible for delays or damage attributable to the carrier once the package has been shipped.

Upon receipt, the Client is invited to check the condition of the package in the presence of the delivery person and, if necessary, to make precise and detailed reservations on the delivery slip. In case of apparent damage, MAÏON STUDIO should be informed within 48 hours at contact@maion-studio.com.

7.6 Unclaimed package or incorrect address

In case of delivery failure attributable to the Client (incorrect address, prolonged absence without instruction to the carrier, failure to collect from a relay point within the deadlines), re-shipping or return costs will be borne by the Client.

Article 8 — Right of withdrawal and returns

8.1 Legal right of withdrawal

In accordance with articles L.221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the consumer Client has a right of withdrawal of fourteen (14) days from the day after receipt of their order, without having to provide reasons or pay penalties.

8.2 Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise this right, the Client must, before the expiry of the 14-day period, inform MAÏON STUDIO of their decision to withdraw by sending a clear email to contact@maion-studio.com, mentioning the order number and the items concerned.

The Client may use the withdrawal form available in the appendix to these GTC, although this is not mandatory.

8.3 Return conditions

Once the withdrawal has been notified, the Client has an additional fourteen (14) days from this notification to return the item(s). MAÏON STUDIO will communicate return instructions as soon as possible after receiving the request.

To be accepted, any returned item must imperatively:

• Not have been worn outside of an indoor fitting environment — not used outdoors or daily

• Be in perfect original condition, free of any traces of wear, scratches, soiling, odor, or contact marks

• Retain all its original intact elements: labels, protections, brand packaging, dust bag, any accessories and charms

• Be shipped to the following address: MAÏON STUDIO — 6 rue d’Armaillé, 75017 Paris, France. The Client is invited to inform MAÏON STUDIO of their return in advance at contact@maion-studio.com to facilitate the processing of their request.

• Be shipped to the following address only: MAÏON STUDIO — 6 rue d’Armaillé, 75017 Paris, France

Each returned creation undergoes a rigorous examination by the MAÏON STUDIO team upon receipt. This examination is a condition for reimbursement.

To facilitate the processing of the return, the Client is invited to inform MAÏON STUDIO of their decision at contact@maion-studio.com before any shipment. MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to refuse reimbursement for any item that does not comply with the return conditions defined above.

8.4 Return costs

Return costs are the responsibility of the Client. MAÏON STUDIO provides a prepaid return label, the corresponding logistics cost of which will be deducted from the refund. The Client may also arrange the return themselves via any carrier of their choice, at their own expense and risk.

MAÏON STUDIO cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of a return package arranged by the Client.

8.5 Returns from European countries outside the European Union

For Clients residing in European countries not members of the European Union (notably Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland), the following conditions apply in the event of exercising the right of withdrawal:

• Initial delivery costs are not reimbursed, unless the entire order is returned, in which case only the effectively paid delivery amount is refundable.

• The Client bears all return costs, including any customs duties or taxes that may be due upon the return of products to France.

• It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that the return package is correctly declared to customs as "returned goods" to avoid any blocking or additional taxation upon entry into France.

• The return package must be declared to customs as a "commercial return," accompanied by the exact value of the item and the order reference. Without this mention, the package may be blocked at customs and the refund will only be processed upon actual receipt.

These provisions apply without prejudice to the implementation of the legal guarantees referred to in Article 10, which remain applicable regardless of the return conditions.

8.6 Items not eligible for return

Personalized or custom-made items explicitly requested by the Client cannot be returned within the framework of the right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code. This exclusion is only enforceable against the Client if they have given their express consent to the loss of the right of withdrawal, materialized by checking a dedicated box when finalizing their order on the Site.

8.7 Procedure for an after-sales service or warranty defect

Outside of the right of withdrawal, any return motivated by a defect, non-conformity, or hidden defect must first be submitted to MAÏON STUDIO customer service by email at contact@maion-studio.com, specifying the order number, the description of the observed defect, and attaching photographs. MAÏON STUDIO will acknowledge receipt and indicate the procedure to follow.

Article 9 — Refunds

If a return is accepted under the conditions defined in Article 8, MAÏON STUDIO will refund the Customer within a maximum period of fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of the withdrawal notification, in accordance with Article L.221-24 of the Consumer Code. MAÏON STUDIO may, however, postpone this refund until actual receipt of the returned items or the provision of proof of shipment, if the latter is earlier.

The refund is made using the same payment method as that used for the initial order, unless expressly agreed otherwise. The refunded amount corresponds to the price of the returned item(s), minus return costs if MAÏON STUDIO has provided a prepaid return label.

Initial delivery costs are only refunded if the entire order is returned.

If the returned item shows signs of actual use, damage, or does not meet the return conditions, MAÏON STUDIO reserves the right to reduce the refund proportionally to the depreciation observed, or to refuse the refund by informing the Customer.

Article 10 — Legal Guarantees

10.1 Legal Guarantee of Conformity

In accordance with Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code, MAÏON STUDIO is responsible for defects in conformity existing at the time of delivery of the product and appearing within two (2) years from delivery.

In case of a defect in conformity, the Customer may request, according to legal conditions:

• First recourse: repair or replacement of the product

• Second recourse, if repair and replacement are impossible or disproportionate: a price reduction or termination of the contract

The Customer is exempt from providing proof of the existence of the defect during the twenty-four (24) months following delivery.

The following are not considered defects in conformity within the meaning of the legal guarantee:

• Natural variations in grain, texture, color, or appearance inherent in leather as a living material

• The evolution and patina of leather linked to normal use

• Color transfers between leather and clothing resulting from prolonged contact, particularly between light or suede leathers and dark fabrics

• The progressive loss of water-repellent properties of suede leather due to normal wear

• Damage resulting from misuse, inappropriate maintenance, prolonged exposure to humidity, heat, direct light, greasy substances, or cosmetic products

10.2 Legal Guarantee Against Hidden Defects

MAÏON STUDIO is also bound by the guarantee against hidden defects within the meaning of Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code. This refers to any hidden defect, prior to the sale, which renders the product unfit for its intended use or diminishes its use to such an extent that the Customer would not have acquired it or would have paid a lower price for it if they had known of the defect.

An action for guarantee against hidden defects must be brought within two (2) years from the discovery of the defect. The Customer can choose between:

• Returning the product and receiving a refund of the price (redhibitory action)

• Keeping the product and receiving a partial refund of the price (estimatory action)

10.3 Implementation of Guarantees

To exercise either of these guarantees, the Customer sends their request to contact@maion-studio.com, specifying the order number, a precise description of the defect observed, and supporting photographs. MAÏON STUDIO undertakes to respond as soon as possible.

Article 11 — Care Instructions

To preserve the qualities of each MAÏON STUDIO creation over time, it is recommended:

• Avoid prolonged contact with water, heat, direct light, greasy substances, perfumes, and cosmetic products

• In case of contact with water, gently absorb with a soft cloth without rubbing, then let air dry naturally

• Be aware of color transfers: light or suede leathers may mark when in contact with dark or highly pigmented clothing, just as colored leathers may rub off on light clothing

• Store the item in its protective pouch when not worn

• For suede leather items: regularly reapply a water-repellent spray suitable for suede leather

For any specific care advice or repair request, MAÏON STUDIO is available at contact@maion-studio.com.

The natural evolution of leather — patina, softening, enrichment of shades — is the mark of a living material. This is what makes a MAÏON piece unique.

Article 12 — Liability

MAÏON STUDIO cannot be held liable for any inconvenience or damage related to the use of the Internet, including service interruption, external intrusion, or the presence of computer viruses.

MAÏON STUDIO cannot be held responsible for delays or non-performance resulting from a case of force majeure as defined in Article 1218 of the Civil Code, including epidemics, natural disasters, strikes, disruptions of transport networks, or governmental decisions.

Article 13 — Intellectual Property

All elements of the Site and MAÏON STUDIO products — name, logo, visuals, texts, creations, design — are the exclusive property of MAÏON STUDIO and protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is strictly prohibited.

Article 14 — Personal Data

The processing of personal data collected during the order is governed by MAÏON STUDIO's Privacy Policy, available on the Site, and by the Legal Notice. In accordance with the GDPR, the Customer has a right to access, rectify, erase, and object to their data, which can be exercised at contact@maion-studio.com.

Article 15 — Consumer Mediation

In accordance with Articles L.616-1 and R.616-1 of the Consumer Code, MAÏON STUDIO offers a consumer mediation scheme. In case of a dispute not resolved amicably with customer service, the consumer Customer can resort free of charge to the following mediator:

Entity: Médiation de la Consommation & Patrimoine (MCP)

Address: 12 Square Desnouettes – 75015 Paris

Website: www.mcpmediation.org

The mediator can be contacted online at www.mcpmediation.org or by post. The use of mediation is free for the Customer.

The Customer can also use the European online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Article 16 — Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction
